Local Survivors

Art Luncheon and Yom Hashoah

The biennial event in partnership with JFSA ( Jewish Family Service Agency), the Joyce Straus Foundation for the Arts, and the Claims Conference hosts many of our local Holocaust survivors for a delicious lunch, art tour, live music, and in 2026, an art project and commemoration of Yom Hashoah. Shown are the survivors painting ceramic butterflies to symbolize the 1.5 million children murdered by the Nazi regime and their collaborators.

Violins of Hope

The Violins of Hope highlighted eight extraordinary violins that survived the Holocaust that travelled to Las Vegas for an intimate evening salon for survivors, students, and community members.

Honey Salt Luncheon

Elizabeth Blau of Honey Salt partnered with NCH and JFSA for a wonderful afternoon of food, friendship, and a harpist.

Survivors & Descendants Supporting Nevada Center for Humanity

Over the years... Holocaust education and socialization in action. Seen here are also the children and grandchildren of survivors sharing their stories with us.

Our mission is to educate Nevadans through the lessons of the Holocaust, highlighting acts of courage and compassion amid atrocity. Through artifacts, virtual reality films, and exhibitions across the state, we share stories of those who stood up for their fellow man and inspire others to model their moral courage.
